Wednesdays Our group gathers at 6:30 in The Fellowship Center.

| A New Year has begun and the New Creation Youth have a full slate of
items they are responsible for over the next few months such as a Spaghetti
Dinner (Jan 25th, tickets are now on sale), the Boy’s
Retreat with Ken (Jan 30-Feb 1), the Girl’s retreat with Gail and
Laura (A new Event, date to be determined), then the month of February
will be spent preparing for the 30 Hour Famine (Feb 27-28) followed by
Youth Sunday (March 1st). We will then be looking at some new
lessons and many plans for UM ARMY, July 19-25, what an experience for
all involved, the youth complete many service project and have an
opportunity to share their faith with people from all walks of life and
in turn are rewarded with the many stories and faith sharing from the
clients that they help, if you don’t believe me, ask a youth that has
participated, they’ll tell you!
We are still missing a few faces from the youth group and would like to see you at our meetings, we still meet on Wednesday’s from 6:30-8:00pm in the ‘New Creation’ Youth room and we have many empty chairs, some of them really comfortable because we were recently blessed with a donation of a new couch! | The New Creation Youth will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in the Fellowship Center beginning at 12:00 (Noon) – 2:00 pm. The Funds raised during this event will help the Youth out with ‘Special Events’ such as UM ARMY, Sponsorship of Grace and Grace from Rainbow Christian Missions, the 30 Hour Famine which helps World Vision, and of course some fun events from time to time just for the youth that will help our current budget usage. Tickets are now on sale from any of the Youth after all Sunday services at a cost of $6.00 for Adults- 13 years and over, $3.00 for children 3 years to 12 years, under 3 eat free! The Dinner will include Applesauce, Tossed Salad, Bread, Butter, Beverage, and of course All you can eat Spaghetti with meat sauce. Desserts will be available at an additional cost the day of the event for those who might want a ‘Sweet Treat’ to end their meal. If you are unable to attend a service to purchase your tickets you may call Phil Hess at 732-3955 to order your tickets and they will be available for pick-up on January 25th. We would like to sell as many tickets prior to the event so we are able to judge the amount of food we will need to purchase so if you could help us out, thank you. And a special thank you for the way you support all the Youth programming in our church, after all, we’re training our future leaders! |
